Four golden rules

  1. 01

    Follow your personal plan

Your doctor gives you a written plan with the exact medicine, dose and timing. This page never replaces it.

  2. 02

Never start, stop or change on your own

If something does not feel right, message us first.

  3. 03

    Tell us everything you take

Medicines, vitamins, herbal products and supplements, even if they seem harmless.

  4. 04

    Ask before adding supplements

Some supplements affect bleeding or healing. We tell you what is safe and when.

What Is in My Kit

Your kit covers infection, swelling, pain, wound care and regrowth. Each item has one job, and your doctor’s plan tells you when to use it.

Item What it does When
Antibiotic Helps prevent infection while the skin heals. Early healing
Anti-swelling medicine Reduces swelling on the forehead and around the eyes. Early healing
Pain reliever Only if you feel pain. Most patients need none after day 5. Early healing, as needed
Antibacterial spray Keeps the grafts moist and clean, and eases itching. Until the bottle is finished
Moisturising lotion Eases dryness and tightness in the donor area. When the donor area feels dry
Antibacterial cream Only if pimples appear. As needed
Ice gel pack Limits swelling. On the temples, never on the grafts. Early healing
Hair supplement Supports regrowth. During regrowth, after the first week
Anti-hair-loss shampoo and hair serum Gentle daily care for the new hair. After the final wash

No brand names or doses here: your exact medicines and timings are in your personal plan. Ask about my kit.

Tell Us About Your Medicines

Before surgery, send us every medicine and supplement you take, and any long-term condition. Your doctor tells you what to pause and when. Never stop a prescribed medicine on your own.

Write these in your message

  • Every medicine you take, with why and how often
  • Every supplement, vitamin and herbal product
  • Any long-term condition, such as diabetes or high blood pressure

Send it at least 4 weeks before surgery.

Your list goes straight to your care team on WhatsApp. Nothing is stored on this page.

Which Supplements Can Help My New Hair Grow?

We recommend one hair supplement during regrowth, starting after the first week. Ask your doctor before adding anything else, including biotin.

Hair supplement

During regrowth, from the end of week 1

Your doctor names the product and the dose in your plan. Some supplements affect bleeding or healing, so ask before adding anything.

Later, if your doctor recommends them

  • PRP and mesotherapy, from month 1
  • Treatments that protect your existing hair, discussed at your check-ups

Flying With Your Kit

Carry your kit in your hand luggage, in its original boxes. Medically needed liquids over 100 ml are usually allowed at airport security if you declare them; ask us for a clinic letter before you fly.

Before you fly

  • Kit in hand luggage, not in the hold
  • Medicines in their original packaging
  • Your personal plan from the clinic with you
  • Declare liquids over 100 ml, such as the spray
  • Enough for every day of your plan

Back home

  • Tell your family doctor about your surgery and plan
  • Finish the full course of anything prescribed as a course
  • Message us before starting any new medicine

Side Effects or Changes

Do not start, stop or change any medicine on your own. If something in your kit does not agree with you, such as a rash or an upset stomach, message us and we adjust your plan.

Usually normal

  • Mild stomach upset if taken on an empty stomach
  • Feeling tired in the first days
  • Mild itching in the donor area

Take medicines after meals unless your plan says otherwise.

Message us the same day

  • Rash, hives or swelling of the lips or face
  • Severe stomach pain or diarrhoea
  • Dizziness or fainting
  • Any reaction that worries you

In an emergency, call local emergency services first, then let us know.

Long-term hair loss treatment

Some patients use a medicine to protect their own hair after surgery. It is a personal decision with your doctor, discussed at your check-ups.

Quick Answers

Short answers to the medicine questions patients ask most.

1 What medication do I take after a hair transplant?

Your kit has an antibiotic, an anti-swelling medicine, a pain reliever if needed, an antibacterial spray, a lotion and a hair supplement. Your doses and dates are in the plan your doctor gives you.

2 Can I take my own painkillers after a hair transplant?

Ask us first. Some painkillers can increase bleeding in the first days. Use the pain reliever in your kit; most patients need none after day 5.

3 Which shampoo can I use after a hair transplant?

Use the shampoo in your kit, from your final wash on day 9 or 10. Until then, follow the washing routine the team shows you.

4 Can I fly with my hair transplant medicines?

Yes. Carry them in your hand luggage, in their original boxes. Declare liquids over 100 ml at security and ask us for a clinic letter.

5 Can I stop my medicines early?

No. Message us first. Your doctor adjusts your plan if something does not agree with you.
