Read: Shock loss after a hair transplantBetween month 3 and 4 new hair breaks through. About 20% has grown by month 4, and it can look thin, uneven or wiry. This is the ugly duckling phase, and it passes.
New hairs often come through thin, curly or wiry and grow at different speeds. They thicken and settle over the next months, so do not judge your result yet.
Small pimples can appear where new hairs push through the skin, mostly between month 1 and 3. Do not squeeze them. If they are painful, spreading or full of pus, send us a photo.
Send a photoAt 6 to 7 months about 50 to 60% of the transplanted hair at the front and about 40% at the crown has grown. The crown is slower, so judge it later than the front.
Hair at the crown grows in a spiral and covers a wide area, so the same number of hairs looks thinner for longer. Most of the crown result shows between month 12 and 18.
Allowed from month 6
By month 12 about 70 to 80% of the front and 50 to 60% of the crown has grown. Your hair keeps thickening until month 18, which is when we judge the final result.
Send your month 12 photos and we compare them with your first day. Book a visit if you are in Istanbul.

We only discuss a second session after month 12 to 18, once the first result is complete. It depends on your donor reserve and how your own hair changes over time.
